  Had lunch there Saturday.  We were seated quickly in mid-afternoon, which was nice.  
  
  Our hostess very friendly.  Our waitress was very personable while respecting our privacy.  
  
  The food tasted great and was served exactly as ordered.  
  
  Portion sizes were Texas big no food service products were used.  Everything was fresh.  
  
  Onion rings were some of the best I have ever had.  The chicken fried chicken was better than many "award winning" competitors that I have tried.  
  
  I never had to ask for a refill.  
  
  Location sits on an adorable town square supporting that small town feel.  
  
  We will be going back.  These guys got it right.

  I travel Hwy 45 from Dallas to Houston every month, but from now I will stop at this steak house for the best steak I have had in a long time.
  The restaurant was clean, friendly and excellent service. The price for dinner was good but for smaller appetites splitting a large ribeye was a deal. Full bar, and the tea was good so I am happy-happy. See you there if your smart and love steak, delicious veggies and salads.
  Be smart try it out.

  We are so pleased with Texas Legends on the courthouse square in Madisonville,Texas!  We started with fried mushrooms and onion rings!  Some of the best we have ever had!  We shared the August special which was shrimp and lettuce wraps with spicy mango salsa.  Select the Caribbean rice as your side.  You will be in paradise!  I wanted to try the Key Lime Pie and the bread pudding but didn't have room.  So we're planning to visit again soon!  Loved it!

  Good. Not 5 star. Solid food. Good menu choices overall but good food. Waitstaff was efficient. Can't rave - can't complain. A bit expensive but again - decent food. Will go back to try steaks. Ate at 5:00 so wasn't ready for heavy food. Old interior and men's room needed cleaning.

  Really great food! I am writing a review half way through the meal!!!! We came here because of Yelp! The hot fresh yeast rolls are sooo delicious. The onion rings are giant sized and not over done. The dinner salad was fresh and crisp with mozzarella cheese. Ambiance is Texas. Cool place!
  Back again....just as good!!!!!!  Had a Ribeye this time. Perfect.
